As virtual assistants, it is crucial for us to stay organized and on top of things. Not only are we running our own business, we are responsible for all of our clients as well. If you run your own business, you need to know where everything is and when your projects are due. Here are VBAs top 10 tips for staying organized -
✨Have a calendar!! Use your phone, planner, white board, timer and even sticky notes for some. Time can be our friend if we know how to use it wisely. Know what needs to be done weekly and daily.
✨Wake up early! This is you time to get organized, workout, plan the day, meditate, (do you) whatever that time looks like.
✨Communicate with family members, team, assistants, etc. Having everyone on the same page is key to staying organized and working together when things pop up.
✨Planning your day, week, months. Your calendar can be changed but having it planned out will keep you organized on what you can or can’t take on.
✨Know your goals and your Why!!
✨Establish and emotionally compelling long-term vision. There will be some days when you just won’t “feel like” taking action on your plan. To help you stay on track you need a powerful “why” - and that is your vision.
✨Love these tools!! Google streak, follow up reminders, Mailchimp calendar, alarms on your phone, Keeper, notes, wallet, 30/30, Trello - all for staying organized. (These are a few of the apps and tools that VBA uses for our clients)
✨Keeper app or a password protector app that stores all your passwords and logins. How many times have you forgotten your password, login, or that website. This way all your info is one place and organized. It is also secure.
✨Set a timer for your tasks or work. This keeps you organized, on task and keeps you from going down that rabbit hole.
✨Make sure your environment is organized, tools are easily found, clean, and a system you can maintain. The less distractions the better.
